MMF believes
that our staff is our most valuable asset. We encourage our staff
to use every opportunity to develop skills that
will enable them to carry out their work more
effectively.
Each year, staff
meet to discuss the needs of the project and the
organisation, and form a staff development plan for
the following year. Staff take part in training
sessions, workshops, language courses and study
trips. In 2006 two staff members, Nan and Poom, will travel to
the United States to work as interns with the
Northwest Leadership Foundation.
In 2005 staff development
activities included a gender workshop
with Lea Davis (a representative from
TEAR
Australia), leadership training with the
Northwest Leadership Foundation and a staff retreat at Ko
Chang.
At our annual
retreat, staff have the opportunity to develop
spiritually, build stronger relationships, reflect
on the vision of our organisation, and consolidate
plans to achieve that vision. |
