This program enables visitors from the developed world to
come to Thailand to learn about the
history, culture, and needs of local Christian
communities through first-hand experience.
Our program includes an overnight stay in one of the
villages in which we work enabling you to gain
greater insight into the unique culture of a
hill-tribe community. The program also includes
presentations on the problems faced by minority groups in
Thailand, the history of Christian development work
in the area, and information about MMF's current projects.
The program usually runs over three days. Depending on the needs and interests of your group,
the timeframe can be negotiated.
In addition to
helping inform Christians from abroad, the program
generates much needed income for the Mekong
Minority Foundation and its partner initiatives.
The cost of the program varies depending on
the size of the group. The average cost per person
for a group of five or more is USD50 per day including
accommodation, transport, staff costs and meals.
