Lahu Language

Lahu originates from the Tibetan language. Each of the Lahu sub-groups speaks a different dialect, although Black Lahu is accepted as the standard language. The Lahu vocabulary is fairly restricted, and therefore Lahu people have incorporated many words from other countries into their language.
